IRS Pauses Audits and Collections with People First Initiative

The IRS stopped initiating new audits and suspended collection activities, starting April 1 through July 15, 2020 in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. This was announced in a recent press release on March 25, 2020 unveiling the IRS’s People First Initiative. We are already seeing this implemented in our dealings with the IRS.
